Except droids we don't like them! 😂 Just kidding I love C-3PO and R2D2. The whole Clone Wars though is a really good explanation for prejudices against droids.

    Whether you like the type of music Elvis sang or not. Whether you're a fan or not. Elvis was one of the greatest singers and performers of all time. There is only a handful that we all know will be on the list. Definitely want to at least get the album. I used to have but my collection got stolen some years back and I really enjoyed this one. So I have been gradually building up my LPS. Just got Alice in chains Jar of Flies 30th anniversary box set, Rush Hemisphere's 40th anniversary box set and Black Sabbath Paranoid 50th anniversary box set which I purchased from The In Groove , they really do have a nice selection of LP's. DISNEY MURDERED STAR WARS, THE BIGGEST FRANCHISE IN FILM HISTORY.

    • @BoothTheGrey
      @BoothTheGrey 8 дней назад

      In the end it was Lucas free decision to sell Star Wars to Disney. And especially he ALSO thought that Kathleen Kennedy would be the right person to be boss for Star Wars. In the end Lucas killed the franchise himself by chosing the wrong people to take over.

    • @zoetropeguardian
      @zoetropeguardian 5 дней назад

      @@BoothTheGrey It's understandable why he felt as though he could trust them. Kathleen Kennedy is close with Steven Spielberg and she worked with them both on Indiana Jones. A family member of hers is also who pulled him out of the car during his infamous accident. Likewise Bob Iger was head of ABC when George was making Young Indy. He was very supportive of it despite not so ideal ratings due to poor marketing not showing how it was a different type of story from the features. Despite this Bob Iger supported the show as long as it was viable. George also had a long history with Disney due to being there at the opening of Disneyland, Star Tours, Captain EO, etc.. Not to mention the success Disney had with a then hands on approach with Pixar, a company he founded, and even Marvel at the time. It's perfectly understandable why he felt they were the perfect fit to continue telling stories within his world. Unfortunately those we think have our best interests at heart don't always. Disney Star Wars may not last the test of time but George's work will remain timeless.

    • @BoothTheGrey
      @BoothTheGrey 5 дней назад

      @@zoetropeguardian I dont know Lucas - and I assume you dont know Lucas neither. I would suggest not to be too sure about what people feel or think you dont know at all... cause we all cant be too sure about people who are even really close to us. In the end... it doesnt matter that much WHY Lucas did what he did. He did it. Instead of supporting someone in his company to take over the lead... he sold the whole thing. Everybody who knows our economical system knows what this means. Lose any kind of control. He obviously wanted to get rid of the responsibility. And why not. And maybe... if he would have done a sequel himself the "fans" would have been even more upset. He clearly remembered what fans did after the prequels. And back then the internet was not unsocial media driven like 15 years later.

    • @zoetropeguardian
      @zoetropeguardian 5 дней назад

      @@BoothTheGrey These are reasons he himself has given apart from the car accident as that was something Kathleen Kennedy mentioned at the premiere of The Force Awakens. I read and watch anything I can find with him as he's my hero. Yes, he mentioned the critical reaction being a factor. It was also that he wanted to focus on raising his at the time newborn daughter, start a museum for art, and devote more time to philanthropic causes. He's had an educational foundation since the early 90's for example. He also donated money to NYU to start a school in recognition of his friend Martin Scorsese and has paid for the most film restorations through The Film Foundation. Amongst much, much more. I miss him greatly but I'm so glad we have his upcoming museum to look forward to seeing.

      @@zoetropeguardian Being philantropic when you are absurd rich is really easy. It just shows how deep he is connected to our economical model and supports it. Thats why I dont understand all the whining from "fans" about what is absolutely normal in our economical world. But... being "fan" of a guy who founded a corporation which made him a billionair... is beyond my understanding anyway. I dont "condemn" him - but Lucas is just another rich guy who created (with many others!) a good and absurdly successful entertainment product and exploited it. But thats kind of it. He really is more or less himself what he claimed to be against. Disney is no "enemy". Its just another corporation who does what huge corporations do... and what Lucas did a lot himself. Trying to make a lot money. I can only suggest to distance from those people. And understand that if you are "fan" of a corporation or a product of a corporation or a folk who founded a corporation... you are exactly the sort of consumer they want: An exploitable consumer. And in my opinion THIS is the main reason for "hate". Being a "fan" is sort of being in a toxic relationship where "love" sooner or later turns around in the opposite. But anyway. Thanks for your thoughts. I am cleary not the guy you or other "fans" usually want to talk to. Sorry I responded at all.

You can walk around her gardens, even up into her bedroom where they have some of her clothes hanging up. Such a surreal place to be as everything in the house was hers. If you're ever in Devon, make sure to visit. Ethan - you're a fantastic interviewer and loved your passion for AC. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll go far.

    It's quite a profound point as an artist that many people want to ignore; you make your art as you see it, and express what matters to you. The audience like it, or don't. That's it. The audience shouldn't dictate what an artist makes, but of course art is made not only for the artist's expression, but for the audience. So the artist has to consider what the audience wants, but ultimately they make what they want for their own objectives and their own sensibilities, whether they are Kurosawa, Kubrick, Coppola, Lucas.
